The American College of Diabetology was formed to advance the field of Diabetology by certifying physicians in the primary care subspecialty to ensure high standards in diabetes expertise, care delivery, and clinical diabetes management.
Certification in Diabetology demonstrates that the physician has the necessary qualifications to deliver excellent care in diabetes.
Until that is achieved, we work to bring access of diabetes care to everyone in need. Certifying primary care physicians and working in partnership with endocrinologists, diabetes educators, nurses, dieticians, and the entire interprofessional team can help us achieve that goal.
