The American College of Diabetology is offering a one-time seed funding opportunity to support the launch of new programs in the diabetology field. The program selected will receive $150,000 in one-time funding, with funding available for one program this year. Learn more below.

Timeline: 

• The application opens Feb 15, 2026.

• The application deadline is June 30, 2026. 

• Funding decisions will be announced by August 15, 2026.

• Grant funds will be distributed by December 2026 to support planning for the next academic year’s fellow.

Selection process: 

• The New Program Committee will evaluate applications using a structured rubric, ranking the top five programs. The top program will receive $150,000 in funding.

• Programs not selected may reapply in future cycles. 

• Selected programs will sign an agreement outlining expectations for check-in meetings, milestones, and reporting requirements.
